Alchemy to deliver Atkins Global Portal in SharePoint 2007

Alchemy are project managing the delivery of the Atkins Global Portal rollout. This is one of the earliest, biggest and most complex SharePoint 2007 implementations, serving as it does 15,000 employees across three continents and multiple business disciplines and languages. The first release to reach end-users is anticipated to take place in autumn 2007.

Atkins has been consistently among the UK's Top 10 Best Big Companies to work for over the last five years and is growing and evolving rapidly. As such, existing portal and collaboration capabilities fall short of future need.

The new Atkins Portal has the potential to unite the entire workforce and to introduce new ways of communicating and collaborating. The ambitious vision for the Portal is to have one place to go for information and one way of working, in support of “one, joined-up Atkins”.
