Forecourt SharePoint Portal delivered in just 3 months at KPI

Alchemy, have delivered a new, global Portal for Kuwait Petroleum International, one of the largest oil companies in Europe. The SharePoint 2007-based portal will serve 3,500 employees across 16 countries, in 13 languages. The first phase launch, in late February 2008, coincided with KPI’s 25th anniversary celebrations - and was delivered in record time... just three months!

Kuwait Petroleum International was established 1983, as the international arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). Kuwait boasts the world's third largest oil reserves - behind Saudi Arabia and Iraq - and KPC is one of the world’s top 10 oil companies. Under its distinctive “Q8 sails” logo, KPI refines and markets fuel, lubricants and other petroleum derivatives to a diverse customer base across Europe. The company has a significant forecourt presence in Kuwait, Italy, Denmark, Spain, the UK and the Netherlands.

The new KPI Portal is designed to bring together all of the people in the company on one platform for information, knowledge sharing and collaboration. The vision is “all the tools ones need to do the job, brought together in one place; readily accessible and easy to use”.
